THE Governor is pleased to order the publication of the following English translation of notification no. 67/XXIII-2–2026-20(SA.)-25, dated January 22, 2026 for general information :

Dated Lucknow, January 22, 2026
WHEREAS the State Government is of the opinion that a new public ferry is needed on the Ganga river at Company Ghat in district Mirzapur;
NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers under clauses (c) and (d) of Section 4 of the Northern India Ferries Act, 1878 (Act no. 17 of 1878), the Governor is pleased to establish, with effect from the date of publication of this notification in the Gazette, a new public ferry on the Company Ghat in district Mirzapur within its limits as shown in the Schedule below.
Under Section 6 of the aforesaid Act, the Governor is further pleased to direct that with effect from the aforesaid date, the immediate superintendence of the aforesaid public ferry at Company Ghat in district Mirzapur shall vest in the Superintending Engineer, Mirzapur Circle, Lok Nirman Vibhag, Mirzapur.
