IN exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution, the Governor is pleased to make the following Rules with a view to amending the Uttar Pradesh Government Servants Conduct Rules, 1956:
THE UTTAR PRADESH GOVERNMENT SERVANTS CONDUCT (AMENDMENT)
RULES, 2026
Short title and 1-(1)These Rules may be called "The Uttar Pradesh Government Servants
commencement Conduct (Amendment) Rules, 2026".
(2) They shall come into force at once.
Substitution of 2- In the Uttar Pradesh Government Servants Conduct Rules, 1956,

hereinafter referred to as the said rules, for existing Rule 21 set out in Column-1
below, the rule set out in Column-2 shall be substituted, namely:–

(3) If a Government servant invests an amount exceeding six months' basic pay in stocks, shares or other investments in a calendar year, such investment shall be reported to the appropriate authority.
A District Judge shall not permit his wife or son, to open a cinema house or to purchase a share therein, in the district where he is posted and if he is transferred to a district where a member of his family has already made such an investment, he shall immediately inform his superior authority.
