IN pursuance of provisions of clause (3) of Article 348 of the Constitution, the Governor is pleased to order the publication of the following English translation of notification no. 513/LXXXI- 4–2026 dated March 23, 2026 :

The following draft notification which the Governor proposes to issue in exercise of the powers under rule 7 of the Wetland (Conservation and Management) Rules, 2017, is hereby published for the information of the general public and with a view of inviting objections in respect thereof as required under sub-rule (3) of Rule 7 of the said rules;

Objections, if any, with respect to the proposed notification shall be sent in writing addressed to the Pramukh Sachiv, Environment, Forest and Climate Change Section 4, Uttar Pradesh Shasan,477 RPH 2026 (Paryavaran Anubhag-4) data 1e mRrj izns'k vlk/kkj.k xtV] 23 ekpZ] 2026 5 Bapu Bhawan, Lucknow. Only such objections shall be taken into consideration as received within 60 days from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette.

DRAFT NOTIFICATION

WHEREAS, there exist a water body known as "Paurara Mustakam" measuring an area of 5.0020 hectares situated in Tehsil Hasanpur, District Amroha detailed description whereof is given in the Schedules below, which is considered to be critically significant for its ecosystem service and biodiversity values for the local communities and society at large;

AND, WHEREAS, the aforesaid water body is a part of our cultural heritage; provides a wide range of ecosystem services such as water storage water purification, flood mitigation, erosion control, aquifer recharge, micro climate regulation, aesthetic enhancement of landscapes; and is important for environmental conservation, enrichment and development of adequate flora and fauna, ecology, landscape and humanitarian values.

NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of powers conferred by sub-rule (3) of Rule 7 of the Wetlands (Conservation and Management) Rules 2017, the Governor is pleased to declares the above area "Paurara Mustakam" as wetland and will be known as Paurara Mustakam Wetland, District Amroha.

The boundary and description of the area included under the Paurara Mustakam Wetland is mentioned in Schedule-I of this notification.

Details of the zone of influence of the Paurara Mustakam Wetland are mentioned in Schedule-II of this notification.

Description of prohibited and regulated activities in Paurara Mustakam Wetland and its zone of influence are mentioned in Schedule-III of this notification.

Description of permitted activities in Paurara Mustakam Wetland and its zone of influence are mentioned in Schedule-IV of this notification.
