THE UTTAR PRADESH REVENUE CODE (FOURTH
AMENDMENT)ORDINANCE, 2026
(U.P. ORDINANCE NO. 14 OF 2026)
[Promulgated by the Governor in the Seventy-seventh Year of the Republic of India]
AN
ORDINANCE
further to amend the Uttar Pradesh Revenue code, 2006.
WHEREAS the State Legislature is not in session and the Governor is satisfied that circumstances exist which render it necessary for him to take immediate action;
3 mRrj izns'k vlk/kkj.k xtV] 23ebZ] 2026NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by Clause (1) of Article 213 of the Constitution of India, the Governor is pleased to promulgate the following Ordinance:—
Short title and
1.(1) This Ordinance may be called the Uttar Pradesh Revenue Code
commencement (Fourth Amendment) Ordinance, 2026.
(2) It shall be deemed to have come into force with effect from the 8thday
of April, 2026.
Amendment of
2. In the Uttar Pradesh Revenue Code, 2006, in sub-section (8) of
Section 80 of U.P. Section 80, the following provisos shall be inserted, namely:-
Act no. 8 of 2012 " Provided that if the land, or any part thereof, for which a declaration is sought under this section, falls within the notified area of a Development Authority, an Industrial Development Authority, a Regulated Area, a Special Area Development Authority, or the Uttar Pradesh Housing and Development Board; and if, in respect of such land, as the case may be, a building permission, development permission, or approval of a layout plan has been granted under the Uttar Pradesh Urban Planning and Development Act, 1973, the Uttar Pradesh Industrial Area Development Act, 1976, the UttarPradesh (Regulation of Building Operations) Act,1958, the Uttar Pradesh Special Area Development Authorities Act,1986, or the Uttar Pradesh Avas Evam Vikas Parishad Adhiniyam, 1965, such grant shall be deemed to constitute a declaration under sub-section (2) of Section 80 of this Act and following such inquiry as may be prescribed, an entry to this effect shall compulsorily be recorded in the revenue records within a period of fifteen days:
Provided further that no fee shall be charged at the time of the
declaration under sub-section (2) of Section 80 of this Act.".
Repeal and savings 3.(1) The Uttar Pradesh Revenue Code (Amendment) Ordinance, 2026(U.P.
Ordinance no.7 of 2026) is here by repealed.
(2) Notwithstanding such repeal, anything done or any action taken under the provisions of the Ordinance referred to in sub-section (1) shall be deemed to have been done or taken under the corresponding provisions of this Ordinance as if the provisions of this Ordinance were in force at all material times.
