IN exercise of the powers conferred by Article 318 of the Constitution read with Section 21 of the
General Clauses Act, 1897 (Act no. 10 of 1897), the Governor is pleased to make the following regulations
with a view to amend the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (Conditions of Service)
Regulations, 1937.
THE UTTAR PRADESH PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION (CONDITIONS OF
SERVICE) (THIRTIETH AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 2026
Short title and 1.(1) These regulations may be called the Uttar Pradesh Public Service
commencement Commission (Conditions of Service) (Thirtieth Amendment) Regulation, 2026.
(2) They shall be deemed to have come into force with effect from
January 1, 2016.
Amendment of
regulation 11
2. In the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (Conditions of Service) Regulation, 1937 issued with notification no. 2257/11, dated April 12, 1937 as amended from time to time of clause (6a) and (7) of regulation 11 set out in Column-1 below, the Clause as set out in Column-2 shall be substituted, namely:-

11. (6a) In the case of a Chairman or Member who was in the service of the Central Government or a State Government but whom clause (6) does not apply or where clause (6) applies, he has opted for the determination of his pension in accordance with this clause, the pension payable to him shall be–

(b) Subject to the limitations mentioned in clause (2), clause (3) and clause (7) of this regulation, additional pension at the rates mentioned in clause (7):

Provided that in no case the additional pension, referred to in sub-clause (b) together with the pension referred to in sub-clause (a) shall exceed the pension of Rs. 40,000.00 per month (Rs. 4,80,000.00 per annum)
11. (7) In the case of a Chairman or Member who has not been in the service of the Central or any State Government or had not been granted, or had not qualified for service pension under the rules of the service of which he was a member, the pension to which he shall be entitled shall be as follows:-
Provided that in no case the additional pension, referred to in sub-clause (b) together with the pension referred to in sub-clause (a) shall exceed the pension of Rs. 1,12,500.00 per month (Rs. 13,50,000.00 per annum) 11.(7) In the case of a Chairman or Member who has not been in the service of the Central or any State Government or had not been granted, or had not qualified for service pension under the rules of the service of which he was a member, the pension to which he shall be entitled shall be as follows:-
(a) In the case Chairman, Rs. 1,44,000.00 per annum if he has completed 6 years of service;
(a) In the case Chairman, Rs. 3,70,080.00 per annum if he has completed 6 years of service;

(b) In the case of member other than Chairman, Rs. 1,15,200.00 per annum if he has completed 6 years of service;
(i) from Date January 1, 2016 to Date October 25, 2023, Rs. 2,96,064.00 per annum if he has completed 6 years of service;
(ii) from Date October 26, 2023 Rs. 3,34,552.00 per annum if he has completed 6 years of service; (c) if a Chairman or Member has completed 3, 4 or 5 years of service, 3/6, 4/6 or 5/6th respectively of the full pension which is payable to him in accordance with sub-clause (a) or sub- clause (b) above, as the case may be;
(c) if a Chairman or Member has completed 3, 4 or 5 years of service, 3/6, 4/6 or 5/6th respectively of the full pension which is payable to him in accordance with sub-clause (a) or sub- clause (b) above, as the case may be;
(d) In the case of a Chairman who has worked both as Member and Chairman, total period of service as Chairman and as Member, shall be taken into consideration in calculating his pention.
