IN pursuance of the provisions of clause (3) of Article 348 of the Constitution, the Governor is pleased to order the publication of the following English translation of Notification no.-524/IX-9-2026-E- 2043100 dated July 10, 2026.

The following draft rules which the Governor proposes to make in exercise of powers under sections 174, 207, 207A and 227 of the Uttar Pradesh Municipal Corporation Act, 1959, (Act no. 2 of 1959), read with Section 21 of the Uttar Pradesh General Clauses Act, 1904 (Act no. 1 of 1904) with a view to amend the Uttar Pradesh Municipal Corporation (Property Tax) Rules, 2000, are hereby published as required by sub-section (2) of Section 540 of the aforesaid Act of 1959 for the information of all concerned and with a view to invite objections and suggestions in respect thereof;
Objections and suggestions, if any, with respect to the proposed rules shall be sent in writing addressed to Pramukh Sachiv, Nagar Vikas Anubhag-9, Uttar Pradesh Shasan, Lucknow.
Only those objections and suggestions shall be considered as are received within thirty days from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazzette.

1. (1) These rules may be called the Uttar Pradesh Municipal Corporation
(Property Tax) (Fifth Amendment) Rules, 2026.
Short Title, application and commencement (2) They shall be applicable to all Municipal Corporations of the State of
Uttar Pradesh.
(3) They shall come into force with effect from the date of their final
publication in the Official Gazzette.
2. In the Uttar Pradesh Municipal Corporation (Property Tax) Rules, 2000, in Amendment of rule 4A
