THE Governor is pleased to order the publication of the following English translation of notification no. 446/XXIII-II–2026-14(SA)-26, dated July 30, 2026 for general information :

WHEREAS the State Government is of the opinion that a new public ferry is needed on the Mohan River and Karnali River at Kodiyala Ghat in District Lakhimpur Kheri;
NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers under clauses (c) and (d) of Section 4 of the Northern India Ferries Act, 1878 (Act no. 17 of 1878), the Governor is pleased to establish, with effect from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, a new public ferry on the Kodiyala Ghat in District Lakhimpur Kheri within its limits as shown in the Schedule below;
Under section 6 of the aforesaid Act, the Governor is further pleased to direct that with effect from the aforesaid date, the immediate superintendence of the aforesaid public ferry at Kodiyala Ghat in District Lakhimpur Kheri shall vest in the Superintending Engineer, Sitapur/Kheri Circle, Lok Nirman Vibhag, Sitapur.
