oh0 gsdkyh f>ekseh, izeq[k lfpoA 2 mRrj izns'k vlk/kkj.k xtV] 6 vxLr] 2026 IN pursuance of the provision of clause (3) of Article 348 of the Constitution of India, the Governor is pleased to order the publication of the following English translation of notification no. 1582/LXXXI- 3–2026 dated August 6, 2026 : No. 1582/LXXXI-3–2026

IN exercise of the powers under sub-section (3) of Section 218 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (Act no. 46 of 2023), the Governor is pleased to direct that sub-section (2) of the aforesaid section shall apply to such Forest Officers as are charged with protection of forest or protection of wildlife whenever and wherever they are serving as such.
The Governor is further pleased to direct that the provisions of sub-section (2) of Section 218 of the aforesaid Act will apply as if for the expression ''Central Government'' occurring in the said sub-section, the expression ''State Government'' were substituted.
