IN pursuance of the provisions of clause (3) of Article 348 of the Constitution of India, the Governor is pleased to order the publication of the following English translation of the Uttar Pradesh Viniyog (2026-2027 ka Anupoorak) Adhiniyam, 2026 (Uttar Pradesh Adhiniyam Sankhya 28 of 2026) as passed by the Uttar Pradesh Legislature and assented to by the Governor on August 14, 2026. The Vitt (Aay-Vyayak) Anubhag-2 is administratively concerned with the said Adhiniyam.

AN

ACT

to provide for authorising payment and appropriation of certain sums from and out

of the Consolidated Fund of the State to the services for the year ending on

thirty-first day of March, 2027.

IT IS HEREBY enacted in the Seventy-seven Year of the Republic of India as

follows:–

Short title

1. This Act may be called the Uttar Pradesh Appropriation

(Supplementary 2026-2027) Act, 2026.

Issue of Rs.

2. From and out of the Consolidated Fund of the State of Uttar Pradesh there may

59019,54,10,000 be paid and applied sums not exceeding those specified in Column-3 of the Schedule

out of the

amounting in the aggregate to the sums of Rs. 59019,54,10,000 (Rs. fifty nine thousand Consolidated Fund

of the State of nineteen crore fifty four lac ten thousand only) towards defraying the several charges

Uttar Pradesh for which will come in course of payment during the year ending on the thirty-first day of

the Year 2026-2027 March, 2027 in respect of the services and purposes specified in Column-2 of the

Schedule.

Appropriation

3. The sums authorised to be paid and applied from and out of the Consolidated

Fund of the State of Uttar Pradesh by this Act shall be appropriated for the services and

purposes expressed in the Schedule in relation to the year ending on the thirty-first day

of March, 2027.

STATEMENT OF OBJECTS AND REASONS

Under Article 205 read with Article 204 of the Constitution, an Appropriation Bill has to be introduced in the State Legislature after demands for Supplementary Grants have been voted by the Legislative Assembly.

This Bill provides for the appropriation out of the Consolidated Fund of the State of Uttar Pradesh of all moneys required to meet the Supplementary Grants made by the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly and the Supplementary Expenditure charged on the Consolidated Fund of the State in respect of the financial year 2026-2027.

The Uttar Pradesh Appropriation (Supplementary 2026-2027) Bill, 2026 is introduced accordingly.
