Now, therefore, as recommended by the Election Commission of India, New Delhi in pursuance of sub-section (2) of Section 15 of the said Act, the Governor of the State of Goa, is hereby pleased to call upon all the Assembly Constituencies in the State, to elect members to the Legislative Assembly of the State, in accordance with the provisions of the said Act and of the rules and orders made thereunder.

Whereas, in accordance with the provisions of clause (1) of Article 172 of the Constitution of India, the existing Legislative Assembly of the State of Goa, unless sooner dissolved, shall continue up to and including the 18th March, 2017, and shall thereafter stand dissolved on the expiration of its duration; and

यतः, भारत के संविधान के अनुच्छेद 172 के खण्ड (1) के उपबन्धों के अनुसरण में गवा राज्य की विद्यमान विधान सभा OFFICIAL GAZETTE — GOVT. OF GOA SERIES II No. 40 (EXTRAORDINARY No. 2) 11TH JANUARY, 2017 यदि शीघ्र विघटित न ह त 18 मार्च, 2017 की तारीख क सम्मिलित करते हुए उस तारीख तक चालू रहेगी तथा उसके पश्चात उसकी अवधि के अवसान पर विघटित मानी जाएगी; और
यतः, लक प्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम, 1951 (1951 का 43) की धारा 15 की उपधारा (1) की शर्तो पर, राज्य में नई विधान सभा के गठन के प्रयोजन के लिए साधारण निर्वाचन कराया जाना है;
अतः, अब, उक्त अधिनियम की धारा 15 की उपधारा (2) के अनुसरण में, जैसा कि भारत निर्वाचन आयग ने सिफारिश की है गवा राज्य के राज्यपाल, एतद्द्वारा राज्य के सभी विधान सभा निर्वाचनक्षेत्रों से यह अपेक्षा करेंगे कि वे उक्त अधिनियम और उसके अधीन बनाए गए नियमों और आदेशों के उपबन्धों के अनुसार राज्य की विधान सभा के लिए सदस्य निर्वाचित कर दें।

Section 15 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951) and published in the Official Gazette of the State on the 11th January, 2017, been pleased to call upon all Assembly Constituencies in the State, to elect members to the Legislative Assembly of the State, in accordance with the provisions of the said Act and of the rules and orders made thereunder;
Now, therefore, in pursuance of Sections 30 and 56 of the said Act, the Election Commission of India hereby–
(A) appoints, with respect to the said election in
each of the constituencies,–
(a) the 18th January, 2017 (Wednesday), as the
last date for making nominations;
(b) the 19th January, 2017 (Thursday), as the
date for the scrutiny of nominations;
(c) the 21st January, 2017 (Saturday), as the last date for the withdrawal of candida- tures;
(d) the 4th February, 2017 (Saturday), as the date on which a poll shall, if necessary be taken; and
(e) the 15th March, 2017 (Wednesday), as the date before which the election shall be completed; and

The following Notifcation No. 464/GOA-LA/2017 dated 11-01-2017 received from the Election Commission of India, New Delhi is hereby published for general information.
(B) fixes the hours from 7.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m., as the hours during which the poll shall, if necessary, be taken on the date specified above, for the election.

यतः, गवा राज्य के राज्यपाल लक प्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम, OFFICIAL GAZETTE — GOVT. OF GOA SERIES II No. 40 (EXTRAORDINARY No. 2) 11TH JANUARY, 2017 उसके अधीन बनाए गए नियमों और आदेशों के उपबन्धों के अनुसार राज्य की विधान सभा के लिए सदस्य निर्वाचित कर देें;
अतः, अब, उक्त अधिनियम की धाराओं 30 और 56 के
अनुसरण में भारत निर्वाचन आयग एतद्द्वाराः- 1951 (1951 का 43) की धारा 15 की उपधारा (2) के अधीन जारी और 11 जनवरी, 2017 क राज्य के शासकीय राजपत्र में प्रकाशित अधिसूचना के द्वारा इस राज्य के सभी विधान सभा निर्वाचन-क्षेत्रों से यह अपेक्षा करते है कि वे उक्त अधिनियम और
(अ) प्रत्येक निर्वाचन-क्षेत्रों में उक्त निर्वाचन के संबंध मेंः-
(क) नाम निर्देशन करने की अन्तिम तारीख 18 जनवरी, 2017 (बुधवार)
(ख) नाम निर्देशनों की संवीक्षा की तारीख 19 जनवरी, 2017 (गुरुवार) (ग) अभ्यर्थिताएं वापस लेने की अन्तिम तारीख 21 जनवरी, 2017 (शनिवार) (घ) वह तारीख, जिसक यदि आवश्यक हुआ त 04 फरवरी, 2017 (शनिवार)
मतदान हगा
(ड) वह तारीख जिससे पूर्व निर्वाचन सम्पन्न करा 15 मार्च, 2017 (बुधवार)
लिया जाएगा।
नियत करता है; और
(आ) 7.00 बजे पूर्वाह्न से 5.00 बजे अपराह्न तक का समय उस समय के रूप में नियत करता है, जिसके दौरान यदि आवष्यक हुआ त, उक्त विनिर्दिष्ट तारीख क, निर्वाचन हगा।
