And whereas, I have gone through both the notifications cited above and the respresentation and relevant provisions of law as contained in Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, I am satisfied that by notifying the space on the left hand side of the approach road at the Konkan Railway Corporation, Railway Station, Margao, Goa as "Stand for Black & Yellow Taxis" majority of the Taxi Operators of Margao are denied the opportunity of operating from the said stand since only the permit holders are entitled to operate from the same place;

Therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 116 and 117 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 (Central Act 59 of 1988) read with Government Notification No. 5/28/88/TPT (Part) dated 26th September, 1989 and Rule 264-A of the Goa Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Rules, 2005, I, Swapnil M. Naik, IAS, District Magistrate, South Goa, Margao, in public interest do hereby notify the "Stand for Black & Yellow Taxis'' as indicated in Schedule below and also direct cautionary signboards demarcating the location for the visibility of the road users for the purpose of regulating Motor Vehicle Traffic.
