Act, 1952 ( 31 of 1952 ) , the Election Commission of India is required to so appoint the dates for the election to fill the office of the Vice- President of India that the election will be completed at such time as will enable the Vice - President thereby elected to enter upon his office on the 11th day of August, 2017 ;

( a) fixes Room No. 62 , First Floor , Parliament House , New Delhi as the place of polling for the Vice - President Election to be held in accordance with its Notification No. 480/ /2017 - BE dated the 4th July, 2017 ; and

( iii) every candidate shall deposit or cause to be deposited a sum of rupees fifteen thousand only. This amount may be deposited in cash with the Returning Officer at the time of presentation of the nomination paper or deposited earlier in the Reserve Bank of India or in a Government Treasury, and in the latter case a receipt showing that the said deposit ofthe sum has been so made is required to be enclosed with the nomination paper ;
