The Goa State Co-operative Bank Ltd., was initially registered in the State of Goa under the erstwhile Maharashtra Co-operative Societies Act, 1960 which was applicable to the Union Territory of Goa, Daman & Diu vide notification dated 7-11-63. After cancellation of deemed registration of the Bank by the Central Registrar of Co-operative Societies cited above the original registration bearing No. BNK-(a)- -1/Goa dated 7-11-63 shall continue in force and shall have retrospective effect from 01-04-2016.
The Goa State Co-operative Bank Ltd., even under its deemed Multi State status was re-classified as State Co-operative Bank (Apex Co-op. Bank) and State Land Development Bank by the Registrar of Co-operative Societies, Government of Goa as such, it continue to be State Co-op. Bank (Apex Co-op. Bank) and State Land Development Bank, within the meaning of clauses (u) and (v) of Section 2 of the National Bank for Agricultural and Rural Development Bank Act, 1981 (Central Act No. 61 of 1981), vide Notification No. 26/1/98/TS/RCS dated 27th March, 2000.
In view of above, the said Status of the Bank as "Apex Co-op. Bank" shall stand restored and shall continue to be in force under the Goa Co-operative Societies Act, 2001.

Ms. Prachi Satyawan Naik shall be on probation
for a period of two years.
Ms. Prachi Satyawan Naik has been declared medically fit by the Medical Board. Her character and antecedents have been verified by the District Magistrate, South Goa District, Margao and nothing adverse has come to the notice of the Government.
