Kartika 1, 1939 (Saka) Whereas, the Election Commission has, on such review, decided that the period of filing claims and objections in the State should be extended upto 30th November, 2017, so that a Special Verification Drive within the ongoing Summary Revision can be undertaken in which Booth Level Officers would visit house to house for the purpose;
Now, therefore, the Election Commission, in exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Rule 12 of the Registration of Electors Rules, 1960, hereby extends the period for filing claims and objections in the State upto and including 30th November, 2017 for ongoing Special Summary Revision of electoral rolls with reference to 01-01-2018 as the qualifying date.
