DE/PLG/RTE/2009/Amendment- -Rule/2017-18
In exercise of the powers conferred by
sub-sections (1) and (2) of section 38 of
the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory
Education Act, 2009 (Central Act No. 35 of
2009), the Government of Goa hereby
makes the following rules so as to further
amend the Goa Right of Children to Free
and Compulsor y Education Rules, 2012,
namely:—
1. Short title and commencement.— (1)
These rules may be called the Goa Right of
Children to Free and Compulsory Education
(Second Amendment) Rules, 2017.
2. [Substitution] of rule 23.— For rule 23 of
the Goa Right of Children to Free and
Compulsor y Education Rules, 2012,
the following rule shall be substituted,
namely:—
"23. Academic Authority to lay down
curriculum and evaluation procedure.— (1)
The Government shall specif y the
academic authority for the purpose of
section 29 by notification in the Official
Gazette.
(2) While laying down the curriculum
and evaluation procedure, the academic
authority shall,—
(a) formulate the relevant and age
