Whereas the General Elections to 3 Village Panchayats of Casarvarnem, Alorna, Chandel- -Hassapur and bye-elections to Ward No. I of Village Panchayat Paliem (General) in Pernem Taluka, Ward No. VII of Village Panchayat Uguem (General) in Sanguem Taluka, Ward No. II of Village Panchayat Marcaim (Reserved for OBC) and Ward No. I of Village Panchayat Cundaim (General) in Ponda Taluka are scheduled to be held on 10th December, 2017.
Now, therefore, I, Shri R. K. Srivastava, IAS (Retd.), State Election Commissioner, Goa State, in exercise of the powers conferred upon me under Article 243 K of the Constitution of India and Section 237 of the Goa Panchayat Raj Act, 1994 read with Rule 49 of the Goa Panchayat and Zilla Panchayat (Election Procedure) Rules, 1996, do hereby notify that the Counting of Votes in respect of General Elections to three Village Panchayats and vacant wards of Village Panchayats will be done on 11th December, 2017 from 8.00 hrs. till the counting is completed as mentioned below:-
