Whereas, the General Elections to 13 wards of Sanquelim Municipal Council in Bicholim Taluka is scheduled to be held on 06-05-2018;

And whereas, the State Election Commission has already issued a public written notice in Form No. I of the intended election under Rule 4 of the Goa Municipalities (Election) Rules, 1969;

Now, therefore, this State Election Commission in exercise of the powers conferred upon it under Article 243K of the Constitution of India read with Rule 4 do hereby notify that the nomination papers of candidates in respect of General Elections to 13 wards of Sanquelim Municipal Council in Bicholim Taluka which are going to poll on 6th May, 2018 shall be accepted by the Returning Officer at the notified place from 12th April to 20th April from 10.00 hrs. to 13.00 hrs. except on Saturday, 14th April, 2018 & Sunday, 15th April, 2018 being Public Holidays).

In pursuance of sub-rule (1) of Rule 4 of the Municipalities (Election) Rules, 1969, the Commissioner hereby appoint in relation to the election to the Sanquelim Municipal Council by the ward specified in column (1) of the Schedule hereto:

a) Name of Returning Officer or Assistant Returning Officer specified in column (2) [against the ward specified in column (1) hereinafter referred to as "against the ward"];

b) The date and time specified in column (3) (against the ward), thereof, to be the last date and time for making nominations;

c) The date and time specified in column (4) (against the ward), to be the date and time for the scrutiny of nominations;

d) The date specified in column (5) (against the ward), to be the date for the publication of the list of validly nominated candidates;

And whereas, the State Election Commission has already issued a public written notice in Form No. I of the intended election under Rule 4 of the Goa Municipalities (Election) Rules, 1969;

Now, therefore, this State Election Commission in exercise of the powers conferred upon it under Article 243K of the Constitution of India read with Rule 4 do hereby notify that the nomination papers of candidates in respect of General Elections to 15 wards of Ponda Municipal Council in Ponda Taluka going to poll on 29th April, 2018 shall be accepted by the Returning Officer at the notified place from 6th April to 13th April from 10.00 hrs. to 13.00 hrs. except on 8th April, 2018 being Sunday.
