Whereas the bye-election to Ward No. II of Village Panchayat Sazora in

Salcete Taluka is scheduled to be held on 29th July, 2018.

Now, therefore, I, Shri R. K. Srivastava, IAS (Retd.), State Election Commissioner, Goa State, in exercise of the powers conferred upon me under Article 243 K of the Constitution of India and Section 237 of the Goa Panchayat Raj Act, 1994 read with Rule 49 of the Goa Panchayat and Zilla Panchayat (Election Procedure) Rules, 1996, do hereby notify that the Counting of Votes in respect of bye-election to Ward No. II of Village Panchayat will be done on 30th July, 2018 from 8.00 hrs. till the counting is completed as mentioned below:

Read: Order No. 4/18/Bye-Elec/MCS/2018-SEC/674 dated 29-06-2018.

In the Order quoted above at Serial No. 1 column No. 2, the name of the AAO shall be read as "Shri Vitorino S. Colasso" instead of "Shri Vetorine Colaco."

The remaining part of the order remains unchanged.

Government of Goa in exercise of the powers conferred upon it by

sub-section (1) of Section 3 of the Goa Essential Services Maintenance Act,

1988 (Goa Act 20 of 1989) and being satisfied that in the public interest it is

necessary so to do, hereby prohibits strike in any form in All Transport Services

for the carriage of passengers or goods by land or water in the State of Goa

with immediate effect.
