Notification

No. 1/1/17/2018-RD/1316

It has been noticed, time and again that the various Works Departments of the Government of Goa take up road-digging works haphazardly and without proper prior intimation to sister agencies as well as the members of the public. As a result, there are often instances of public inconvenience as well as damage caused to the cables and other assets of the Departments due to rampant road digging works.

2. Hence a need is felt for proper co-ordination amongst the Works Departments, so that proper planning and systematic execution, with all concerned departments appraised of the schedule of road digging, can be achieved.

d) To alert all concerned departments to maintain vigil during the approved period of work so that their departmental assets are not damaged.

5. The committee will meet as and when proposals for road digging are submitted to the offices of the respective District Magistrates. Once the committee is constituted, prior approval of the committee will be mandatory before the commencement of the work.

6. This will come into force with immediate

effect.
