In exercise of the powers conferred on me under Section 115 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 and as recommended by the Dy. Supdt. of Police, Traffic (North), Panaji, I, Levinson Martins, District Magistrate, North Goa District hereby order the following temporary arrangements for diversion of traffic on 14th and 15th of August, 2018 on the occasion of Independence Day in Panjim City.
1. The stretch of D. B. B. Marg from ferry wharf junction to Bandodkar statue (both lanes) will be closed for traffic flow from 20.00 hrs. of 14-08-2018 till the function is over on 15-08-2018.
2. The vehicles entering Panaji city via New Patto Bridge on reaching Bandodkar statue will be allowed to take left turn and proceed behind Old Secretariat to take left turn near Joao Castro Road - Match Corner to proceed to their destinations via M. G. Road.

The signboards shall be installed as per specifications laid in the Seventh Schedule under the Goa Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Rules, 2005 & shall be located 40 meters in advance of the speed breaker and at the placement of the speed breaker.
Action taken report including photographs of the work executed must be submitted to this office within 30 days.
