the Election Commission, having regard to the
provisions of sub-section (2)(b) of the said Section,
hereby notifies the period between 7.00 a.m to
06.30 p.m. on 19th May, 2019 (Sunday), as the period
during which conducting any exit poll and
publishing or publicizing by means of the print or
electronic media or dissemination in any other
manner whatsoever, the result of any exit poll in
connection with the said bye-election announced

ECI/PN/51/2019 dated 9-4-2019, 16-04-2019,

134-Aravakurichi, 195-Thiruparankundram &
217-Ottapidaram (SC) Assembly Constituencies in Notification
No. 576/EXIT/2019/SDR/Vol.I
1. Whereas, the schedule for the Bye-Elections to the Legislative Assemblies in the States of Goa, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh & West Bengal have been announced by the Commission vide Press Note Nos. ECI/PN/46/2019, ECI/PN/48/ /2019, ECI/PN/50/2019 & ECI/PN/51/2019 dated 9-4-2019, 16-04-2019, 19-04-2019 & 20-04-2019.
the State of Tamil Nadu, 42-Chincholi (SC) and
70-Kundgol Assembly Constituencies in the State
of Karnataka, 89-Agra North Assembly Constituency
in State of Uttar Pradesh and 23-Darjeeling,
29-Islampur, 43-Habibpur (ST) & 105-Bhatpara
Assembly Constituencies in the State of West
Bengal shall be prohibited.
4. It is further clarified that under Section
126(1)(b) of the R.P. Act, 1951, displaying any OFFICIAL GAZETTE — GOVT. OF GOA SERIES II No. 7 (EXTRAORDINARY No. 2) 17TH MAY, 2019 would be prohibited during the period of 48 hours
ending with the hours fixed for conclusion of poll for the aforesaid bye-elections.
