The Government of Goa is concerned about the suffering of these small animals and has come up with a scheme to control their population. The local authority as mandated668 OFFICIAL GAZETTE — GOVT. e) AWOs who have signed an MOU with the Local Authorities will not be permitted to outsource the work or have MOU with other AWOs.

6. Pattern of Assistance:— (a) In order to catch the small animals from the road side, a dedicated vehicle duly modified will be required, for which 100% grant will be given to finance the cost of the vehicle and modification.

The cost of the sterilization for small animals will include anesthesia, surgical material, medication, microchiping, salaries of Veterinary Surgeon, driver, dog catchers, and cost of feeding the small animals.

100% grants will be given for the above
