1. The normal flow of the vehicular traffic on the main parallel and surrounding roads shall not be obstructed.

2. The organizers shall ensure that the participants of the Rathotsav as also others attending the function shall not park their vehicles on the roads obstructing normal vehicular flow.

3. The vehicles used, if any, during the Rathotsav shall not be stationed on the main road or any other road which would cause obstruction to smooth flow of vehicular traffic.

4. No road closure/diversion shall be effected

during the Rathotsav.

5. The organizers shall depute maximum Traffic Marshals on all important junctions/crossing for traffic regulation during the above program and shall ensure that no obstruction to the smooth flow of vehicular traffic is caused and the participants of the Rathotsav walk to the extreme side of the road and give way to the normal vehicular flow without hindrance.

6. The organizers should obtain prior permission

from all the other competent authorities.

In exercise of the powers conferred u/s 112 and 116 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 (Central Act 59 of 1988) read with Government Notification No. 5/28/88/TPT/(Part) dated 26th September, 1989 and rule 264-A of the Goa Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Rules, 2005, I, Jyoti Kumari, IAS, District Magistrate, South-Goa, Margao, in public interest do hereby notify the "Hump type speed breaker" and traffic signages as indicated in schedule below and also direct cautionary signboards demarcating the location for the visibility of the road users for the purpose of regulating Motor Vehicle Traffic.

Whereas, the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Traffic South-Goa, Margao, has submitted a list of abandoned/unclaimed vehicles found lying since long period in the jurisdiction of the Margao city area (Salcete taluka).

And whereas, the said vehicles are breeding grounds for mosquitoes which causes rise in the vector borne diseases and thus leads to health hazard to the staff of Police Station and also to the general public.

Now, therefore, I, Jyoti Kumari, District Magistrate, South Goa District, in exercise of the powers vested in me under Section 26 of the Indian Police Act, 1861 call upon all the persons interested in the said vehicles to submit their claims (if any) to the office of the Deputy Collector & Sub Divisional Magistrate, Margao-Goa, within a period of 06 (six) months from the date of publication of this proclamation.

If no objections/claims are received within the stipulated time, the vehicles will be forfeited in favour of the State Government and shall be disposed by public auction as provided under law and no further claims will be entertained from any one and the proceeds will be forfeited to the Government.

The list of all identified vehicles is available with the Office of the Deputy Collector & Sub Divisional Magistrate, Margao-Goa.
