In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (1) and (2) of section 18 of the Goa Town and Country Planning Act, 1974 (Act 21 of 1975), and in partial modification of the Government Notification No. 28/10/TCP/2018/203 dated 31-01-2018, published in the Official Gazette, Series I No. 44, dated 01-02-2018 and in supersession of the Government Notification No. 36/1/TCP/478/2022/3595 dated 29-12-2022, published in the Official Gazette, Extraordinary, Series I No. 39, dated 29-12-2022, the Government of Goa hereby declares the area as specified in column (1) of the Schedule hereto to be the Panjim Planning Area and defines the limits of such area as specified in corresponding entry in column (2) of the said Schedule.

Comprising of part of area under the Corporation of City of Panaji and part area of Village Penha De Franca.
South: by Chalta Nos./P.T. The detail plan of Panjim planning area is shown in the Annexure appended to this Notification. This Notification shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.

Whereas, the Government of Goa vide
Notification No. 28/11/TCP/2019/2947 dated
13-11-2019, issued under sub-sections (1) and
(3) of section 20 of the Goa Town and Country
Planning Act, 1974 (Act No. 21 of 1975)
(hereinafter referred to as the "said Act")
read with rule 3 of the Goa Town and Country
Planning (Planning and Development
Authorities) Rules, 1977 (hereinafter referred
to as the "said Rules"), published in the
Official Gazette, Series II No. 33, dated
14-11-2019, re-constituted an authority to be
called the Greater Panaji Planning and Development Authority in respect of (i) Panaji Planning Area and Taleigao Planning
Area declared as such vide the Government
Notification No. 28/10/TCP/2018/203 dated
31-01-2018, published in the Official Gazette,
Series I No. 44, dated 01-02-2018; and (ii)
Bambolim Planning Area and Kadamba
Planning Area declared as such vide the
Government Notification No. 28/10/TCP/2018/
/163 dated 24-01-2018, published in the
Official Gazette, Series III No. 43, dated
25-01-2018 read with the Government
Notification No. 28/10/TCP/2017-18/1824
dated 03-09-2018, published in the Official
Gazette, Series I No. 23, dated 06-09-2018;
And whereas, the Government of Goa vide
Notification No. 36/1/TCP/443/2022/2096
dated 24-08-2022 issued under sub-section
(1) of section 19 of the said Act and published
in the Official Gazette, Series II No. 21, dated
25-08-2022, withdrawn from the operation of
the said Act the whole of the Kadamba
Planning Area;
And whereas, the Government of Goa vide
Notification No. 36/1/443/2022/2098 dated
24-08-2022, issued under sub-sections (1) and
(3) of section 20 of the said Act, read with rule 3 of the said Rules and in supersession
of the said Notification No. 28/11/TCP/2019/
2947 dated 13-11-2019 and the Government
Notification No. 28/11/TCP/2017-19/2948
dated 13-11-2019, both published in the
Official Gazette, Series II No. 33, dated
14-11-2019 and Government Notification
No. 28/11/TCP/2017-19/644 dated 27-04-2022
published in the Official Gazette, Series II
No. 4, dated 28-04-2022, re-constituted the
'North Goa Planning and Development
Authority' in respect of Panaji Planning Area
and other Planning Areas;
And whereas, the Goa Town and Country
Planning Board in its 184th meeting held on
15-09-2022 has recommended to the
Government that the assets, properties and
liabilities of the erstwhile Greater Panaji
Planning and Development Authority shall
vest with North Goa Planning and
Development Authority and all the rules,
regulations, bye-laws, notifications, orders,
directions and powers which were made,
issued or conferred upon the Greater Panaji
Planning and Development Authority before
the commencement of the said Notification
dated 24-08-2022 shall apply to the 'North
Goa Planning and Development Authority'
declared as such vide the said Notification
dated 24-08-2022;
And whereas, said recommendation of the
Goa Town and Country Planning Board has
been accepted by the Government.
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers
conferred by sub-sections (4) and (5) of
section 18 of the Goa Town and Country
Planning Act, 1974 (Act 21 of 1975), the
Government of Goa hereby directs that all
the assets, properties and liabilities of the
erstwhile Greater Panaji Planning and
Development Authority shall vest with the
North Goa Planning and Development OFFICIAL GAZETTE — GOVT. OF GOA SERIES I No. 41 (EXTRAORDINARY No. 2) 13TH JANUARY, 2023 Authority and all the rules, regulations,
bye-laws, notifications, orders, directions and
powers which were made, issued or
conferred upon the Greater Panaji Planning
and Development Authority and followed from
time to time were in force in the erstwhile
Greater Panaji Planning & Development
Authority before the commencement of the
said Government Notification No. 36/1/443/
/2022/2098 dated 24-08-2022, published in the
Official Gazette, Series II No. 21, dated 25-08-2022 shall apply to the 'North Goa
Planning and Development Authority '
declared as such vide the said Notification
dated 24-08-2022.
