Sub.:- Linking of Aadhaar Number to the Bank Account for Aadhaar Enabled Payment System (AEPS)/Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) for release of financial assistance under Griha Aadhar Scheme.
The Directorate of Women & Child Development implements a scheme viz. "Griha Aadhar Scheme" with an objective to address the problem of spiraling prices and to provide support to the housewives/ /homemakers from middle, lower middle and poor section of the society, to maintain a reasonable standard of living for their families. Under this scheme financial assistance of Rs. 1,500/- per month is disbursed to the eligible beneficiaries.
For smooth functioning of Griha Aadhar Scheme, Government has decided to adopt the Aadhaar Bridge Payment System (ABPS)/Aadhaar Enabled Payment System (AEPS) mode for disbursement of monthly financial assistance under Griha Aadhar Scheme.
In view of the above, Griha Aadhar disbursement of all the beneficiaries will be done through Aadhaar Bridge Payment System only and no disbursement shall be made through Bank Account based transfers on or after 01-04-2024, hence all the applicants/beneficiaries who have not linked their aadhaar number to their bank account number for Aadhaar Enabled Payment System (AEPS)/Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), shall get it done by approaching their respective bank branch before 01-04-2024, failing which the financial assistance shall be suspended till the linkage of Aadhaar number to the Bank Account for AEPS/DBT.
