In exercise of the powers conferred under Sections 112 and 116 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 (Central Act 59 of 1988) read with Government Notification No. 5/28/88/TPT/(PART) dated 26th September, 1989 and Rule 264-A of the Goa Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Rules, 2005, I, Asvin Chandru A., IAS, District Magistrate, South Goa, Margao, in public interest do hereby notify the "Hump Type Speed Breker and Rumbler Strips" and traffic signage's as indicated in schedule below and also direct cautionary signboards demarcating the location for the visibility of the road users for the purpose of regulating Motor Vehicle Traffic.

The Executive Engineer, Works Division XVIII (Road), P.W.D., Ponda-Goa, shall take necessary action for erection of Hump Type Speed Breakers and Rumbler Strips and cautionary signboards. The works be strictly as per the specifications along with the installation of necessary cautionary signboards and road markings of thermoplastic paint, fixing of cat eyes, as per IRC specifications laid down by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highway and as published in the Official Gazette, Series I No. 15 dated 15th July, 2005 by the Government of Goa. The signboards shall be installed as per specifications laid in the seventh scheduled under the Goa Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Rules, 2005 and shall be located 40 meters in advance of the hump type speed breaker and at the placement of the speed breaker.
Action taken report including photographs of the work executed must be submitted to this office within 30 days.
Non compliance of order shall attract penal
provisions under section 188 of I.P.C., 1860.

38 of the Goa Land Revenue Code, 1968
The Executive Engineer, W. D. VI (Roads), P.W.D., Fatorda, Margao-Goa, shall take necessary steps for erection of "Hump Type Speed Breakers" and "Rumbler Strips" on the above location along with installation of cautionary signboards i.e. speed breaker ahead, road markings of thermoplastic luminous paint/strips, median markings for better visibility, guidance of motorists and empedded cat- eyes as per IRC specifications laid down by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highway and as published in the Official Gazette, Series I No. 15 dated 15th July, 2005 by the Government of Goa. The signboards shall be installed as per specifications laid in the scheduled under the Goa Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Rules, 2005 and shall be located 40 meters in advance of the first rumbler strips and the placement of the rumbler strips.
