In exercise of the powers conferred by

Article 15 of the Legislative Diploma No. 1984,

dated 14-4-1960, the Government of Goa

hereby makes the following rules so as to

further amend the Goa Scheme for Immediate

Relief Rules, 1997, namely:—

1. Short title and commencement.— (1)

These rules may be called the Goa Scheme

for Immediate Relief (Sixth Amendment)

Rules, 2024.

(2) They shall come into force on the

date of their publication in the Official

Gazette.

2. Amendment of rule 5.— In rule 5 of the

Goa Scheme for Immediate Relief Rules,

1997 (hereinafter referred to as the "principal

Rules"), in sub-rule (1), in clause (h), for

the expression "beyond the ceiling of

Rs. 15,000/- (Rupees Fif teen thousand

only) upto maximum of Rs. 30,000/- (Rupees

Thir ty thousand only) per annum", the

expression "upto Rs. 1,00,000/- (Rupees

One lakh only) per person per annum"

shall be substituted.

3. Amendment of rule 6.— In rule 6 of the

principal Rules, in clause (e), for the letters

and figures "Rs. 500/-" (Rupees Five hundred

only), the letters and figures "Rs. 5,000/-

(Rupees Five thousand only)" shall be

substituted.

4. Amendment of rule 8.— In rule 8 of the

principal Rules, in sub-rule (1), for the

letters and figures "Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees

Ten thousand only)", wherever they occur,

the letters and figures "Rs. 50,000/- (Rupees

Fifty thousand only) per person per annum"

shall be substituted.

5. Amendment of rule 9.— In rule 9 of the

principal Rules, for the letters and figures

"Rs. 5,000/-" (Rupees Five thousand only),

the letters and figures "Rs. 25,000/- (Rupees

Twenty five thousand only)" shall be

substituted.
