Read: Notification No. 38/1/2017-Fin (R&C) (277)/26610 dated 19th September, 2024 published in Official Gazette, Extraordinary, Series I, No. 25 dated 20th September, 2024.
In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (d) of sub-section (1) of Section 110 of the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017 (12 of 2017) (hereinafter referred to as "said Act"), and the proviso thereof, and in supersession of above read Notification No. 38/1/2017-Fin (R&C)(277)/26610 dated 19th September, 2024, published in Extraordinary Official Gazette, Series I No. 25 dated 20th September, 2024, save as regards things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, the Government of Goa, on the recommendations of the council, in respect of the qualification of the Officers of Goa for appointment as a Technical Member (State) in the State Benches of Goods and Services Tax Appellate Tribunal, hereby relaxes the qualification from the requirement of "completion of twenty-five years of service in Group A, or equivalent" as per proviso to clause (d) of sub-section (1) of Section 110 of the said Act to "an officer of the Government of Goa, who has completed at least twenty-five years of service in the Government, as Gazetted Officer" for a period of ten years from the date of publication of this notification.
All other conditions as contained in clause (d) of sub-section (1) of Section 110 of the said Act shall also apply.
