The treated water can be used for various purposes as follows:-
a. Agriculture purpose.
b. Urban uses: Watering of public parks, private gardens, roadside gardens and medians; street & pathway cleaning.
c. Industrial uses: Processing water; Cooling water; Recirculation of cooling towers; Wash down water for floor washing; Washing aggregate; Making concrete; Soil compaction; Dust control.
d. Other Use
• Construction Activities
It is desired to meet 50% Demand of non potable water by using treated waste water for the construction related activities such as curing of concrete, dust suppression, watering and soil compaction, road works etc. within 15 kms. of an Operational Sewage treatment plant.
• Gardening and non potable use in Hotels
Water treated from STPs shall be used by the Hotels which are around the vicinity of working STPs for gardening, washing of pavements and other non potable use.
Conveyance and Charges:-
Any person who desires to avail the said facility shall arrange for a dedicated tanker as per the colour coding guidelines notified vide Notification No. 18/5/2025-Fin(DMU)/8892 dated 20-05-2025 for transportation of treated sewage water. The tanker shall not be used for transportation of potable/drinking water and sewage. The water will be provided free of charge and necessary pumping arrangement will be made available at STP. The treated sewage water shall be utilized for non potable uses only.
