On the recommendation of the Goa Public Service Commission as conveyed vide their letter No. COM/I/5/78(1)/2023/234 dated 10/10/2024, Government is pleased to appoint Prof. (Dr.) Juao Costa, to the tenure post of Principal (Group 'A' Gazetted) in Unreserved Category at Sant Sohirobanath Ambiye, Government College of Arts and Commerce, Pernem under Directorate of Higher Education on temporary basis in the Pay Matrix Level 14 with immediate effect.
The above appointment is for a term of five years only from the date of joining to the said post and as per the terms and conditions contained in the Memorandum cited above.
Prof. (Dr.) Juao Costa shall be on probation for a period of one year extendable by a maximum period of one year in case of unsatisfactory performance.
Prof. (Dr.) Juao Costa, have been declared medically fit by the Medical Board. The appointment of Prof. (Dr.) Juao Costa, is made subject to the verification of character and antecedents.
He shall draw his salary against the newly created post vide Order No. 1/5/2017-DHE/1024 dated 07/06/2018.
He shall also function as Drawing and Disbursing Officer for the establishment of the office of Sant Sohirobanath Ambiye, Government College of Arts and Commerce, Pernem in terms of Rule 34(2) of Govt. of Goa (Receipt and Payment) Rule, 1997.

On the recommendation of the Goa Public Service Commission as conveyed vide their letter No. COM/I/5/78(1)/2023/234 dated 10/10/2024, Government is pleased to appoint Prof. (Dr.) Fakruddin Maktumhussain Nadaf, to the tenure post of Principal (Group 'A' Gazetted) in Unreserved Category at Government College of Commerce and Economics (Autonomous), Borda, Margao-Goa, under Directorate of Higher Education on temporary basis in the UGC Pay Matrix Level 14 with immediate effect.
The above appointment is for a term of five years only from the date of joining to the said post and as per the terms and conditions contained in the Memorandum cited above.
(Dr.) Fakruddin Maktumhussain Nadaf shall be on probation for a period of one year extendable by a maximum period of one year in case of unsatisfactory performance.
(Dr.) Fakruddin Maktumhussain Nadaf has been declared medically fit by the Medical Board. The appointment of (Dr.) Fakruddin Maktumhussain Nadaf, is made subject to the verification of character and antecedents.
He shall draw his salary against the newly created post vide Order No. 1/5/2017-DHE/1024 dated 07/06/2018.
He shall also function as Drawing and Disbursing Officer for the establishment of the office of Government College of Commerce and Economics (Autonomous), Borda, Margao-Goa in terms of Rule 34(2) of Govt. of Goa (Receipt and Payment) Rule, 1997.
The employee may exercise an option if they so desire within one month from the date of issue of the order for fixing the pay in Career Advancement Scheme under FR22(1) (a) (1).
The above candidate shall be entitled for special allowance of Rs. 4500/- per month as per Goa University statute Sc-16.4.3 in force issued vide Notification No. 2/692/22-Legal (Vol XII)/186 dated 17.06.2022.

Res-Dev-Inn/GSRF/GC-Member/161/2025/2234 Date : 13-Jun-2025 In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 7 (6) of the Goa State Research Foundation Act, 2022, Government is pleased to nominate Shri Prasad Ragnekar, as a Member of Governing Council (GC) in place of Prof. Datta B. Naik for the remainder of his term of three years in accordance with Section 7(1) (f) of the Goa State Research Foundation Act, 2022.
The term of the substituted nominated member shall run parallel with that of the other existing members of the GC and shall end on the same day.

28/41/2025-LAB/504 Date : 21-Aug-2025 Whereas, the Government of Goa is of the opinion that an industrial dispute exists between the management of M/s. Indoco Remedies Limited, Verna Industrial Estate, Goa and it's workman, Shri Navnath Wairkar, "Associate Production" in respect of the matter specified in the Schedule hereto;
And whereas, the Government of Goa considers it expedient to refer the said dispute for adjudication.
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by Clause (c) of sub-section (1) of Section 10 of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 (Central Act 14 of 1947), the Government of Goa hereby refers the said dispute for adjudication to the Labour Court-II of Goa at Panaji-Goa, constituted under sub-section (1) of Section 7 of the said Act.

(1) Whether the action of the management of M/s. Indoco Remedies Limited, Verna Industrial Estate, Verna-Goa in dismissing Shri Navnath Wairkar, "Associate Production", with effect from 21/12/2023, is legal and justified?
