In pursuance of Section (12) read with Section (11) of the Goa Municipalities Act, 1968 (Act No. 16 of 1968), the Government of Goa hereby declares Wednesday, the 11th March, 2026 (Phalguna 20, Saka 1947) as a "Paid Holiday" being the "Polling Day" for General Elections to the Corporation of the City of Panaji, to every person employed in any business, trade, industrial undertaking or any other establishment and entitled to vote at the aforesaid General Elections, throughout the State of Goa.
The aforesaid holiday shall be a "paid holiday", in addition to the holidays indicated in the Notification No. 37/3/2025-GAD-III/4171 dated 30-09-2025 published in the Official Gazette, Series II No. 28 dated 09-10-2025 read with Corrigendum No. 37/8/2025-GAD-III/4282 dated 07-10-2025 and shall also be applicable as such to the following persons who are entitled to vote at the aforesaid Elections:-
(i) workers of all establishments including commercial and industrial undertakings in the State of Goa;
(ii) daily wage/casual workers employed in any business, trade, industrial undertakings, Government departments, State Government Industrial Departments or any other establishment.

Pursuant to the declaration of no Bye Election in the Ward No. II of Village Panchayat Salvador Do Mundo, Taluka Bardez, North Goa District and Ward No. VIII of Village Panchayat Balli Adnem, Taluka Quepem, South Goa District in the State of Goa by the Goa State Election Commission on account of candidate being elected unopposed, the "paid holiday" declared vide Notification dated 25-02-2026 read above, on Sunday, the 8th March, 2026 (Phalguna 6, Saka 1947) being the "Polling Day" for the Bye Elections to Ward No. II of Village Panchayat Salvador Do Mundo and Ward No. VIII of Village Panchayat Balli Adnem, in the State of Goa, for the voters of the said Bye-elections, stands cancelled.
