No. 10-1-2023/ELEC/Part-3(RTI) Dated: 27-04-2026 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 5 and sub-section (1) of Section 19 of Right to Information Act, 2005, the Chief Electoral Officer hereby designates the officers mentioned in column (2) & (3) against the district mentioned in column (1) of the table below in the State of Goa to be the Public Information Officer and Assistant Public Information Officer for the area of jurisdiction shown against them in column (5). Further designates the officers mentioned in column (4) against the district mentioned in column (1) to be the First Appellate Authority for the area of jurisdiction shown against them in column (5) to whom an appeal shall lie from any decision under Section 19 of the Right to Information Act, 2005.

No. 508/GOA/2026:- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 13AA of the Representation of the People Act, 1950 (43 of 1950) and in supersession of its previous notification No. 508/GOA/2025 dated 19th May, 2025 regarding designation of District Election Officer, the Election Commission, in consultation with the State Government, hereby designates for each District in the State of Goa, as specified in column (1) of the Table below, the officer specified against it in column (2) thereof, as the District Election Officer for that District and specifies the area in respect of which each such officer shall exercise jurisdiction, in column (3) of the table:-

No. 429/GOA/2026 (A): In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (1) of Rule 23 and sub-rule (1)(c) of Rule 27 of the Registration of Electors Rules, 1960 and in pursuance of the provisions of clause (a) of Section 24 of the Representation of the People Act, 1950, the Election Commission, in supersession of its previous Notification No. 429/GOA/2025(A) dated 19th May, 2025 regarding designation of Appellate Officer, hereby designates the Officers mentioned in column (2) against each of the districts mentioned in column (1) of the table below in the State of Goa to be the Appellate Officer for the area of jurisdiction shown against them in column (3) to whom an appeal shall lie, from any decision, under Rule 20, Rule 21 or Rule 21 A of the Registration of Electors Rules, 1960 and Section 22, Section 23 of the Representation of the People Act, 1950, of Registration Officer of each of the Assembly Constituencies comprised within the district:-

A further appeal against the order of the abovesaid Appellate Officers shall lie before the Chief Electoral Officer of the State under Section 24 of the Representation of the People Act, 1950.
