1. The allotment of cases before the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India, New Delhi for defending the interest of Government of Goa will be assigned to advocate by the Hon'ble Chief Minister/Ld. Advocate General on a case to case basis.
2. The Standing Counsel has to keep the Ld. Advocate General of the State of Goa informed well in advance of the date of hearing of the matters and also seek his instructions from time to time.
3. The professional fees of appearance before the Hon'ble Supreme Court shall be paid as per the Government Order No. 1/3/2021/LD(Estt.)/34 dated 07-01-2022.

Whereas, Government vide Order No. 13/25/2023-PER/3958 dated 31/12/2025 had granted further extension in service to Shri Vijay B. Saxena, Director, Directorate of Planning, Statistics & Evaluation beyond the date of his superannuation for further period of one year w.e.f. 01/01/2026 to 31/12/2026, in public interest subject to Vigilance clearance, concurrence of Finance Department and approval of Council of Ministers.
And whereas, the Vigilance Department has submitted Vigilance Clearance dated 05/05/2026 stating that, no Disciplinary Proceedings/Vigilance cases are pending or being contemplated against Shri Vijay B. Saxena, Director, Directorate of Planning, Statistics & Evaluation.
And whereas, the Finance Department vide its U. O. No. 1400098044 dated 07/05/2026 concurred the proposal for grant of further extension in service to Shri Vijay B. Saxena, Director, Directorate of Planning, Statistics & Evaluation, subject to Cabinet approval.
And whereas, the Council of Ministers in its One Hundred and Second (CIInd) meeting held on 07/05/2026 resolved to grant ex-post facto approval for further extension in service to Shri Vijay B. Saxena, Director, Directorate of Planning, Statistics & Evaluation beyond the date of his superannuation for further period of one year w.e.f. 01/01/2026 to 31/12/2026, in public interest.

On the recommendation of the Goa Public Service Commission as conveyed vide their letter No. COM/I/5/30(7)/2021/118 dated 05-07-2024, Government is pleased to appoint Dr. Gaurish Omprakash Sawant to the post of Assistant Professor in the Department of Cardio Vascular and Thoracic Surgery (Group "A" Gazzetted) in Goa Medical College & Hospital, Bambolim-Goa in the Level 11 of Pay Matrix (PB-3; Rs. 15600-39100/- + G.P. Rs. 6600/-) and other allowance to be fixed as per rules with immediate effect.
Dr. Gaurish Omprakash Sawant shall be on probation for a period of two years.
Dr. Gaurish Omprakash Sawant has been declared medically fit by the Medical Board and his character and antecedents has been verified by the District Magistrate, North Goa and verification of his educational qualification has also been verified by Goa University, Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nasik and University of Delhi.
The appointment is made against vacancies occurred due to creation of posts of Assistant Professor in Goa Medical College vide Order No. 4/1/2018-II/PHD/1195 dated 14-08-2019 and bifurcation of 03 posts of Assistant Professor in the Department of Cardio Vascular and Thoracic Surgery (CVTS), GMC vide Order No. 4/1/2018-II/PHD/Part-I/3383 dated 23-10-2020.
