का.आ.- (अ)- राश्ट्रपति, लोक प्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम, 1951 (1951 का 43) की धारा-12 के अनुसरण में, नीचे सारणी के स्तंभ (2) मैं विनिर्दिश्ट प्रत्येक राजय की विधान सभा के निर्वाचित सदस्यों से, उक्त अधिनियम के उपबंधो और उसके अधीन बनाए गए नियमों और किए गए आदेषों के अनुसार राज्य सभा के उन सदस्य (सदस्यों) के स्थान (स्थानों) को भरने के प्रयोजन के लिए, जिनकी पदावधि उक्त सारणी के स्तंभ (4) में तत्स्थानी प्रविश्टि में उल्लिखित तारीख को समाप्त होनी है, उनकी पदावधि के अवसान पर, उक्त सारणी के स्तंभ (3) में प्रत्येक राज्य के सामने विनिर्दिश्ट संख्या में सदस्य (सदस्यों) को निर्वाचित करने की अपेक्षा करते हैः-

S.O (E)- In pursuance of section 12 of Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951) The President is pleased to call upon the elected members of the Legislative Assembly of each state specified in column (2) of the Table below, to elect. In Accordance with the provisions of the said Act and of the rules and orders made there under, the number of member(s) specified against each State in column (3) of the said Table, for the purpose of filling the seat(s) of member(s) of the Council of States whose term of office is due to expire on the date mentioned in the corresponding entry in column (4) of the said Table. अतः अब, उक्त अधिनियम की धारा-39 की उप-धारा (1) और धारा-56 के अनुसरण में, भारत निर्वाचन आयोग एतद्द्वारा :-
(अ) उपर्युक्त राज्यों में प्रत्येक निर्वाचन के संबंध में :-
(क) नाम निर्देषन करने की अंतिम तारीख - 28 जनवरी, 2014 (मंगलवार) (ख) नाम निर्देषन की संवीक्षा की तारीख - 29 जनवरी, 2014 (बुधवार) (ग) अभ्यर्थिताएं वापस करने की अंतिम तारीख - 31 जनवरी, 2014 (षुक्रवार) (घ) वह तारीख, जिसको यदि आवष्यक हुआ तो मतदात होगा, और 07 फरवरी, 2014 (षुक्रवार) (ड.) वह तारीख जिससे पूर्व निर्वाचन सम्पन्न कर लिया जाएगा 10 फरवरी, 2014 (सोमवार)
नियत करता है, और
(आ) 09ः00 बजे पूर्वाह्न से 04ः00 बजे अपराह्न तक का समय, ऐसे समय के रूप में नियम करता है जिसके दौरान यदि आवष्यक हुआ तो, उक्त विनिर्दिश्ट तारीख को, ऊपर उल्लिखित सभी राज्यों में मतदान होगा।

(a) The 28th January, 2014 (Tuesday), as the last date for making nominations; (b) The 29th January, 2014 (Wednesday), as the date for the secrutiny of the nominations;
(c) The 31st January, 2014 (Friday), as the last for the withdrawal of candidatures;
(d) The 7th February, 2014 (Friday), as the date on which a poll shall, if necessary, be taken; and
(e) The 10th February, 2014 (Monday), as the date before which the election shall be completed; and6 (cid:18)बहार गजट (असाधारण), 21 जनवर(cid:15) 2014 (B) Fixes the hours 09:00 A.M. to 04:00 P.M., as the hours during which the poll shall, if necessary, be taken in all the above mentioned States, on the date specified above, for the election.
