सं॰ 7/स्था0-04-12/2019-12725/सा0प्र0—भारत संविधान के अनुच्छेद-233 द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए बिहार के राज्यपाल, उच्च न्यायालय, पटना के परामर्श के पश्चात् बिहार उच्च न्याय सेवा नियमावली, 1951 में संशोधन हेतु निम्नलिखित नियमावली बनाते हैंः-
बिहार उच्च न्याय सेवा (संशोधन) नियमावली, 2020
1. संक्षिप्त नाम, विस्तार एवं प्रारंभ।-(1) यह नियमावली बिहार उच्च न्याय सेवा (संशोधन) नियमावली, 2020 कही जा सकेगी। (2) इसका विस्तार सम्पूर्ण बिहार राज्य में होगा। (3) यह राजपत्र में प्रकाशन की तारीख से प्रवृत्त होगी।
2. बिहार उच्च न्याय सेवा नियमावली, 1951 के नियम-4क(i)(क) के बाद (1) एवं (2) को
निम्नवत् जोड़ा जाएगाः-

No-7/Astha.-04-12/2019-12725/GAD—In exercise of the powers conferred by Article 233 of the Constitution of India the Governor of Bihar is pleased to make the following amendment in Bihar Judicial Service (Recruitment) Rules, 1951 in consultation with High Court, Patna :-
Amendments
The Bihar Superior Judicial Service Rules (Amendment) Rules, 2020
1. Short title, extent and commencement:-
(1) These rules may be called the Bihar Superior Judicial Service Amendment Rules, 2020.
(2) It shall be extended to the whole of the State of Bihar. (3) It shall come into force from the date of publication in the official Gazette.
2. In the Bihar Superior Judicial Service Rules, 1951, after Rule 4A(i)(a) after
than (1) and (2) shall be added in the following manner:- (1) Ten percent of vacancies will be reserved for Economically Weaker Sections in Bihar Superior Judicial Service which are to be filled up by direct recruitment. The aforesaid reservation will be in addition to the provisions of reservation for other categories as have been provided for in other prevailing Rules in the State of Bihar. Provided the candidates out of the State of Bihar shall not claim for benefits of reservation under this Rule.
(2) A reserved category candidate who is selected on the basis of his merit shall be counted against the open merit category as defined under The Bihar Reservation in vacancies in post and in services and in Admissioin in the Educational Institutions (For Economically Weaker Section) Act,2019.
