सं॰ : एम॰-02-02/2024- 07--यतः बिहार राज्य में, राज्य की विधान सभा के सदस्यों द्वारा निर्वाचित राज्य की विधान परिशद् के 11 (ग्यारह) सदस्यों के स्थान 06 मई, 2024 को उनकी पदावधि समाप्त होने के कारण उनकी सेवानिवृत्ति होने पर रिक्त होने वाले हैं जिनका विवरण इस प्रकार है-

No. 322/BR-LC/2024 (MLAs) (1): - WHEREAS, the Governor of the State of Bihar has, by notification issued under Section 16 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951) and published in the official Gazette of the State on 04th March, 2024 been pleased to call upon the members of the Legislative Assembly of the State, to elect eleven members to the Legislative Council of the State: -
Now, therefore, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of Section 39 and Section 56 of the said Act, the Election Commission hereby –
(A) appoints, with respect to the said election –
(a) the 11th March, 2024 (Monday), as the last date for making nominations;
4 (cid:464)बहार गजट (असाधारण), 4 माच(cid:91), 2024(b) the 12th March, 2024 (Tuesday), as the date for the scrutiny of the nominations;
(c) the 14th March, 2024 (Thursday), as the last date for the withdrawal of candidatures;
(d) the 21st March, 2024 (Thursday), as the date on which a poll shall, if necessary, be taken; and
(e) the 23rd March, 2024 (Saturday), as the date before which the election shall be completed; and
(B) fixes the hours from 09:00 am to 04:00 pm, as the hours during which the poll shall, if necessary, be taken in the State on the date specified above, for the election.
