सं॰ कारा/बंदी क0-06/16 पार्ट-II-2053--माननीय सर्वोच्च न्यायालय, नई दिल्ली द्वारा रिट पेटिशन (Civil) संख्या-406/2013 Re-Inhuman Conditions in 1382 Prisons में दिनांक-30.01.2024 को पारित न्यायनिर्णय की कंडिका-07 के आलोक में विभागीय अधिसूचना संख्या-1557 दिनांक-20.02.2024 को जिला एवं सत्र न्यायाधीश की अध्यक्षता में समिति का गठन किया गया है।
2. माननीय सर्वोच्च न्यायालय द्वारा WP (C) 406 of 2013 In Re-Inhuman conditions in 1382 prisons esa fnukad&16-02-2024 dks vkns'k ikfjr djrs gq, fuEuor~ :i ls funsf'kr fd;k x;k gS%& "1. This application has been moved by learned Amicus Curiae praying inter alia that besides the members identified by this Court to be part of a Committee in each State Government/Union Territory in terms of para 7 of the order passed on 30th January,2024, the senior most lady judicial officer in the District may also be included as a part of the Committee to give a fair assessment of the available security measures/ hygiene measures/health care infrastructure/welfare of women prisoners/ facilities for children lodged with their mothers in jails/barracks in each district. The said Committee may also include the Superintendent of Women Jails/women barracks, wherever possible. 3. माननीय सर्वोच्च न्यायालय, नई दिल्ली द्वारा पारित उपरोक्त आदेश के आलोक में विभागीय अधिसूचना संख्या-1557 दिनांक-20.02.2024 द्वारा गठित समिति को निम्नवत् रूप से संशोधित किया जाता हैः- 2 (cid:464)बहार गजट (असाधारण), 11 माच(cid:91), 2024 4. उक्त समिति नये काराओं के निर्माण/क्षमता में वृद्धि के साथ-साथ कारा में उपलब्ध सुरक्षा/स्वच्छता/चिकित्सा व्यवस्था/महिला कैदियों के कल्याण/कारा में संसीमीत महिलाओं के साथ रह रहे बच्चे एवं बैरक के संबंध में अपना प्रतिवेदन समर्पित करेगी। यह समिति महिला जेल/महिला बैरक के अधीक्षक, जो संभव हो, को भी सदस्य के रूप में नामित कर सकती है।
5. उपरोक्त पर सक्षम प्राधिकार का अनुमोदन प्राप्त है।
