THE RULES OF THE HIGH COURT AT PATNA, 1916

No. 2487 (R)The following amendment is made in the existing Part- I, Chapter- II (Constitution of Benches and Powers of Benches and of the Registrar) of the Rules of the High Court at Patna, 1916 with immediate effect:-

1. The following is inserted between Rule 2(c) and Rule 2(d) under Part- I, Chapter- II of the Rules of the High Court at Patna, 1916–"(ca) An appeal against lesser sentence, i.e. upto 10 years, arising out of the same trial court judgment carrying a sentence of more than 10 years or a Government Appeal for enhancement of sentence or an appeal under Proviso to Section 372 of the Cr.P.C. (corresponding proviso to section 413 of the 2 BIHAR GAZETTE (EXTRA) ²7TH AUGUST ²⁰²⁵ B.N.S.S.) arising out of a judgment of the acquittal of the charges carrying a sentence of more than 10 years."
