का.आ. 140(अ).-प्राचीन संस्मारक तथा पुरातत्त्वीय स्थल और अवशेष अधिनियम, 1958 ( 1958 का 24 ) की धारा 2 के खंड ( घ ख ) के परन्तुक द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए और भारत सरकार, संस्कृति मंत्रालय ( भारतीय पुरातत्त्व सर्वेक्षण ) की अधिसूचना सं. का.आ. 2684 ( अ ) , दिनांक 29 अक्तूबर, 2010 और का.आ. 2854 ( अ ) , दिनांक 24 नवम्बर, 2010 का अधिक्रमण करते हुए, ऐसे अधिक्रमण से पूर्व की अथवा करने से छोड़ी गई बातों को छोड़कर , केन्द्र सरकार , नीचे दी गई तालिका के कॉलम (2 ) में उल्लिखित निम्नलिखित अधिकारियों को, जिनका स्तर संबंधित राज्य सरकार के पुरातत्त्व निदेशक अथवा पुरातत्त्व आयुक्त के स्तर से कम न हो , उक्त अधिनियम की धारा 20 ग और 20 घ के प्रयोजनों के लिए उक्त तालिका के कॉलम ( 3 ) में तद्नुरूपी प्रविष्टि में विनिर्दिष्ट क्षेत्राधिकार के क्षेत्र के साथ एतद्वारा सक्षम प्राधिकारी विनिर्दिष्ट करती है :-

In exercise of the powers conferred by proviso to clause (db) of Section 2 ofthe Ancient Monuments andArchaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1958 (24 of 1958 ) , and in supersession ofthe notifications ofthe Government of India in the Ministry of Culture (Archaeological Survey of India) number S.O. 2684 (E ) , dated 29th October , 2010 and S.O. 2854(E ) , dated 24th November, 2010 except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such supersession , the Central Government hereby specifies the officers mentioned in column (2) of the Table given below, being officers not below the rank of Director of Archaeology or Commissioner of Archaeology of the respective State Governments , as the competent authorities for the purposes of Sections 20C and 20D of the said Act , with the area ofjurisdiction specified in the corresponding entry in column (3 ) of the said Table , namely :-
