सं. सी.सी. /एस एण्ड बी/वी के जे/2083.- बैंक के अध्यक्ष द्वारा दिनांक 20 दिसम्बर , 2012 को जारी और भारत सरकार के राजपत्र में 21 दिसम्बर , 2012 और समाचार पत्रों में 24 दिसम्बर, 2012 को, बैंक के केन्द्रीय बोर्ड के लिए एक निदेशक के चुनाव हेतु बुधवार, दिनांक 30 जनवरी , 2013 को बैंक के शेयरधारकों की साधारण सभा के आयोजन के संबंध में , प्रकाशित सूचना के संदर्भ में एतद्वारा सूचित किया जाता है कि उपरोक्त रिक्त स्थान के लिए नामांकन प्रस्तुत किए जाने हेतु बंद होने के समय तक केवल एक नामांकन प्राप्त हुआ है । उक्त नामांकन वैध पाया गया है और उम्मीदवार भारतीय स्टेट बैंक अधिनियम , 1955 की धारा 19क के उपबंधों के अंतर्गत भारतीय स्टेट बैंक के केन्द्रीय बोर्ड के लिए निदेशक के चुनाव हेतु " सही एवं उचित " ( fit & proper ) पाया गया है । उपरोक्त नामांकन प्रस्तुत करने वाले उम्मीदवार का नाम और पता निम्नानुसार है :

2. चूंकि उपरोक्त रिक्त पद के लिए केवल एक वैध नामांकन प्राप्त हुआ है , अतः भारतीय स्टेट बैंक सामान्य विनियमावली 1955 के विनिमय 40 ( 1 ) के प्रावधानों के अनुसार , उपरोक्त उम्मीदवार को बैंक के केन्द्रीय बोर्ड के लिए शेयरधारकों के निदेशक के रूप में यथाविधि निर्वाचित घोषित किया गया है ।
3. अतः उपरोक्त उद्देश्य हेतु दिनांक 30 जनवरी , 2013 को प्रस्तावित बैंक के शेयरधारकों की साधारण सभा निरस्त हो गयी है ।

theNotice dated 20-12-2012 issued by the Chairman and published in the Gazette of India of the 21st December, 2012 and also in the newspapers on 24th December, 2012, regarding holding a General Meeting of the Shareholders of State Bank of India onWednesday, the 30th January, 2013 , to elect one Director to the Central Board of the Bank, notice is hereby given that only one nomination has been received for the above vacancy upto the closing time fixed for receipt ofnominations . The aforesaid nomination has been found valid and in terms of Section 19A of the StateBank of IndiaAct, 1955, the candidate has been found "fitand proper" for being elected as Director to the Central Bank of India . 2. Since there is only one valid nomination received for the above vacancy, in terms of Regulation 40(1) of State Bank of India General regulations, 1955, the above candidate has been declared duly elected as Shareholders ' Director on the Bank's Central Board .
3. The General Meeting of Shareholders of the Bank scheduled to be held on 30th January, 2013 for the purpose of the aforesaid election , therefore , stands cancelled.
