Central Government hereby approves the issue of tax free bonds by the JNU Port Trust in the nature of secured redeemable non-convertible bonds having tax benefits under Section 10 (15)(iv)(h) of the IT Act, 1961, as amended, upto an aggregate amount of Rs. 2,000 crores (the Bonds) through public issue route and/or private placement route in accordance with the terms of the CBDT notification No. 46/2012/F.No. 178/60/2012(ITA.1) dated November 6, 2012.
