Subject:—Rtte of exchange between the Indian Rupee and the RouMe for iL[irili-
cation in tho case of Credit Agreement and Commercial Tj.xKiwtions.
No. IPC(G"nl. 150)/75/VoI. II.—In accordance with the Protocol con.-lmled between the Government of India and the Government of the Unu>n of Soviet Socialist Republic (USSR) on November 25, 1978 and consequent on rhnn^s in the \alue of the Indian Rupee in terras of ;L specified baskefs of currencies, :ui exchange rate of Rs, 9.7074 per Rouble shall, wifh. effect from March 22 1981, apply to the settlement of all existing and future credit agreements and commer- cial trurisuctions between the two countries 'which hav-j been or may be desig- nated in Roubles. This rate of exchange shall also apply to enr/.racts designated in Indhn Rupees where the contract price Is specifically linked to the inie of exchange between the rouble and the rupee because of the period ' t implementa- tion of the contract toeing one year or more.
2. The manner of application of the new nue of exchange to vnriq.us credit and commercial transactions between India and the LSSR will icmain the s.we as indicated in Public Notice No. 3-ITC(PN)/79, dated January 5, 1979.
