Consequent to the deficit and uneven distribution of rainfall during the North Ea s t M o n so o n a n d i n ad e q ua t e r e c ei p t o f C a u ve r y Wa t er, th e Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry declares Puducherry and Karaikal regions of Union territory of Puducherry as drought hit area for the Fasli Year 1426.
