A Government Order and Notification were issued for the upgradation and restructuring of Namakkal Municipality into the Namakkal Municipal Corporation, by integrating 12 Village Panchayats drawn from the Erumapatti, Mohanur, Puduchatram, and Namakkal Panchayat Unions within Namakkal District. Consequently, an Order and Notification are hereby issued—in accordance with Section 15, Sub-section (4)(i) of the Tamil Nadu Panchayats Act, 1994 (Tamil Nadu Act 21/1994)—effecting the restructuring of Rural Local Bodies by excluding the said 12 Village Panchayats situated within the Erumapatti, Mohanur, Puduchatram, and Namakkal Panchayat Unions.

In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (i) of sub-section (4) of section 15 of the Tamil Nadu Panchayats Act, 1994 (Tamil Nadu Act 21 of 1994) and in partial modification of the Notification published in respect of declaration of Erumaipatti Panchayat Development Block under sub-section (3) of that section, the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby excludes the local area comprised in the Reddipatti Village Panchayat from the Erumapatti Panchayat Development Block in Namakkal District, consequent on their inclusion within the Namakkal City Municipal Corporation by Municipal Administration and Water Supply Department vide Notification No.II(2)/MAWS/743(a-4)/2024, published at page 4 of Part II—Section 2 of the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette Extraordinary, dated the 10th August 2024.

2. Based on the above exclusion, wards will be divided for the next ordinary election.
