A Government Order and Notification were issued for the upgradation and restructuring of Namakkal Municipality into the Namakkal Municipal Corporation, by integrating 12 Village Panchayats drawn from the Erumapatti, Mohanur, Puduchatram, and Namakkal Panchayat Unions within Namakkal District. Consequently, an Order and Notification are hereby issued—in accordance with Section 15, Sub-section (4)(i) of the Tamil Nadu Panchayats Act, 1994 (Tamil Nadu Act 21/1994)—effecting the restructuring of Rural Local Bodies by excluding the said 12 Village Panchayats situated within the Erumapatti, Mohanur, Puduchatram, and Namakkal Panchayat Unions.
